Chris is working on the maps, and expects to have the rest of them turned over to us in a few days.

I then have to go back and fill in some details on the locations (based on the maps).

Then Marc and Sean have to finish up their portions of the editing.

You could see it in as little as a month, but I'm guessing more like two.

We have, in fact, run into speedbumps.

Chris has been unable to complete the maps as quickly as he anticipated, and it doesn't look like he's going to be able to complete them any time soon.

So we're looking for a new cartographer.

Since the last portion of the book that I need to write is the location text (descriptions of rooms, buildings, their contents, and so on), I'm virtually at a standstill.

I know this is not positive news. I feel the same frustration you do over this--probably more so, because I have a freelance project for Crocodile Games that I've been putting on hold in anticipation of finishing up Arcane Quarter. (Fortunately, Crocodile Games has been very understanding.)

Please stay tuned. When we have a definite date for Arcane Quarter, we'll post it on our front page (and hopefully cross-post to ENWorld and other RPG news sources).

We've gotten the news that our cartographer is going to be able to turn over the last few maps within the next two weeks, which means I can finish writing up the last few bits of text over that same time period.

Then it's on to editing and layout, and then, for sale.

We've considered Lulu in the past for some of the products that Green Ronin has passed on, but we haven't made any commitments.

Marc has sent around a preliminary layout. So I'm confident that the book isn't too far from finished.

If you count "skeleton" as a shape, then yes.

Seriously, I've been using my Liberty campaign as a sounding board / playtest for stuff I intend to put into Mercenary Quarter, so a lot of my notes will eventually make their way into the final product.

We've had a couple meetings over the past two weeks to determine how much more needs to be done to get Arcane Quarter out as soon as possible. Marc is predicting about 4-5 weeks.

As for 4th Edition, it no doubt will have an impact on us, and we'll be making an announcement about that shortly.
